Grape Dessert - My Recipe Treasures (2024)

Jump to Recipe

Grape Dessert is a new recipe to me. I promise you that after you or anyone else tastes it, they will be impressed. It is so simple to make and Oh Sooo Good!

I think that one of the secrets of this recipe is to make sure to let the brown sugar seep down through the grape mixture overnight. It creates somewhat of a caramel and gives this recipe an exquisite taste. The dish is good if you eat it immediately, but not as good as if you wait!

Some of my family members don’t care for pecans so sometimes I leave them out. That is perfectly fine. Some people prefer pecans, so if they do, put them in, or just let those eating the salad add them.

The first time that I tasted this grape dessert was at a family gathering. My sister who doesn’t cook much, brought it. Everyone was asking who brought it because they liked it so much. Nobody believed who brought it; but to be fair, there is no cooking involved!

She really does know how to cook, but since she does not have a family to cook for, she just doesn’t cook that much. It is kind of hard sometimes to put in the time to cook a meal for one. You can always make a regular sized meal and have leftovers, but sometimes that gets a little old too.

I remember when we lived with her at her home, while we were building our home. I went to peel some potatoes and her potato peeler was awful, so I told her that she needed a new potato peeler. She said that she rarely used it and so it didn’t bother her that it wasn’t the best. I bought a new one and left at her house when we moved.

She had a few kitchen utensils like that. It seemed to me that her handyman tools were a lot better than her cooking utensils. I guess that she actually spent more time doing handyman jobs.
