Megan is in Labor!!!

Sept. 20, 09

Becki and I are off to Michigan in the morning. Megan is about to have baby Isabella! We got the call right before our downline meeting today. We have her birth announcement planned, just need the details and or course her sweet picture!

Here is one of the cards we made.

This is a bag made by Sharla at the meeting I went to last week at Joann's

I love this set for Fall cards, you will be seeing more of it. The stamp set used is called Falling Leaves.

I'll try to post from Michigan. It is going to be a busy week! To my downline that could not be at today's meeting that are out of state, I will get your card package off to you as soon as I get back. I will be checking my email daily so if you need something just email me. Orders will also be processed daily! Have a wonderful week...

Fall is in the Air, Well Not Really

Sept. 18, 09

I am however working on Fall cards. It is still in the 80's here in Northern Alabama. I really love the Autumn Splendor stamp set in the new Holiday Mini. This stamp set makes beautiful embossed images.

This afternoon I plan to work on some baby girl cards as we had a false alarm this morning with Megan. She is due next week and we can't wait for baby Isabella to get here. I think for fun I may design them in My Digital Studio.

I used the In Colors Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo here with Gold Embossing. The paper is from Thoroughly Modern.

This card used Autumn Meadows DSP, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Really Rust, Taken With Teal and More Mustard. The ribbon is Dusty Durango.

I used Autumn Traditions, Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla for this card.

Fun Foam and The Big Shot

Sept. 16, 09

I had a request from a friend to help her make some placemats for a young niece that had been in a terrible accident. Since she was going to be in bed for a while she thought placemats and fun place settings might help cheer her up.

I bought some fun foam and some that was place mat sized. Then we got out the Big Shot and went to town making flowers. My idea was to use Velcro and make it so the flowers and decorations could be changed. Here are some of the flowers we made.

I hope she enjoys playing with the flowers, we sure had fun making them!

Holiday Project Share

Sept. 15, 09

I went to a project share at my uplines house last night and we all shared projects that we can do for stamp camp or holiday classes. We had a great time and the projects shared were wonderful! I am so lucky to belong to this group of talented women!

I did a couple of easy projects. One was this cute little photo brag book for Christmas using the Sizzix Large Scallop bag die. I'll post the instructions in the project of the month.

I also have been asked about the Spooky Candy Jar we had at the craft fair last weekend. The spider is a Stampin' Up! Decor Element. It comes in several sizes and easily can be applied to glass like the one shown here.

Sorry, I've Been MIA!

Sept. 14, 09

I did a craft show over the weekend and was bombarded last week getting ready for it. It was held in Constitutional Village in Huntsville, an area reproduced to look like 1819. It is a wonderful venue for a craft and antique fair. You can see an old wagon in the background here.

Everyone loved the magnets we did in the box above.

Halloween Tootsie Roll Pops

I have been having issues getting the pictures off of my camera and I think I have it solved now so I have tons of pictures to share with you. I stamped last week in my friend Thelma's craft room. It is just awesome! She said I could show you some pictures of it.

On a totally unrelated subject, did you know that green tomatoes can be poisonous to dogs? Yesterday Lola ate one she found in our garden. For some reason my husband decided to look it up online. So after calling the emergency vet, off we went. We spent the better part of the afternoon at the vet's yesterday, they had to make her throw it up. We got to bring her home but she really felt terrible all night. Today she is back to her happy normal self. The stems and leaves of the plant are worse than the tomatoes and by the time the tomatoes turn red whatever is poisonous is gone. What fun!

I promise to be back tomorrow with some cards. I have scads to show you!

My Digital Studio Came Today!

Sept. 3, 09

I love this program. It is Stampin' Up's! brand new digital scrapbooking program, only it is so much more. I made the pink banner on this page with it using the Upsy Daisy stamp that comes with the program. With this program you will be able to digitally make cards, scrapbook pages, flyers, calendars and so much more. Stampin' Up! even has a printing company to print our scrapbooks. All of our colors, ribbons, embellishments will even all match!!! I am so excited about this software that I want to go see what else I can do it. Be back later with another project or some screenshots of them.
