It's A Girl!
When my friend Becki
came down last week we sat up and made
this banner one night before Megan got
here. Megan is expecting her first baby
in September. We went to Babies R Us to
get her registered while she was here
and also did a little shopping - well
okay a lot! It is so hard to walk by all
of those darling little outfits.
Here is the banner we
made using the Big Shot Pennant die
exclusive to Stampin' Up! All of the
paper and ribbon used are retired.

The letters were cut
using the Big Shot also. We had lots of
fun making it and Megan loved it!

What a Busy Week!
We had a wonderful
Memorial Day weekend. We had friends
come down from Michigan, they have 4
daughters so we had a house full. I
really did not want them to go back home
this morning! However they will be
moving here soon so I will get to see
them all of the time then.
I had a class on
Thursday morning and the cards shown
today are a few of the ones the ladies
had the chance to choose from. I usually
do 8 cards and let them do 5 cards with
2 of each design. A couple of these were
cased.

I have to go on to
tell you one the highlights of the week
for Tori was I bought her a horse! Ever
since she could walk and talk this child
has been horse crazy. I promised her
when the moved here I would get her a
horse and this weekend quite by accident
we found a horse we thought would be
perfect for her, Zelda.

We took lots of
pictures and I will soon be sharing some
scrapbook pages with you.

Sense of Time
Joann showed me this
card she got from Jill Olsen and I love
it! I had to come home and try to remake
this card. I have struggled with this
stamp set and had not been happy with my
results with it. I put it in the back of
my new stamp set box until now. The
background is Basic Gray not black as it
looks in the picture. The DSP is Pink
Pirouette. The face of the clock is
covered with Chunky Glitter. The clock
face is stamped with Basic Gray.

I also made a
invitation to a BBQ yesterday using some
SU retired stamps. There is a new BBQ
promotion coming out June 15 with
Country Living and we can only hope we
are getting some BBQ stamps again!
This is a pocket card
and very easy to do. Cut a 4 1/4 x 11
piece of cardstock. Score at 5 1/2 and
again at 1 1/4. That is all there is to
it. Decorate as desired. The inside
piece is 3 1/2 x 5.

Here Comes the Bride
The next couple of
cards I made for a friend for a wedding
she is going to. I bought the To Have
and To Hold stamp set months ago and
this is the first time it saw ink. I
really like the way the card turned out.

The brides dress is
cut of on vellum and the grooms suit is
stamped with Whisper White on Black CS.
The flowers are blue and covered with
Dazzling Diamonds as is the veil. It is
very pretty IRL. The paper is a Level 1
Hostess Pack of Paper.

This is the card I
made for her shower gift. I also made
one in pink until I learned the bride's
favorite color was blue. The dress is in
vellum and embossed using the Manhattan
Flower Die. The greeting on the card is
from So Many Scallops and punched with
the new oval scallop punch. The
rhinestone brad and flower are from the
Pretties Kit. Here is the pink card.

Stamp Camp Time Again
It's that time of
year again. If you live in the
Huntsville, AL. area and would like to
attend Stamp Camp here are the
Details. If you need additional
information please contact me.
What a Surprise!
I was going in to
take a couple of organization photos
when my husband yelled "you've got to
see this". I could not imagine what he
was talking about. We had 12 duckling
and their mama taking a swim in our
pool!

It took 2 1/2 hours
to get them all out. They kept jumping
back in! We finally got them out of the
yard and into the lake across the
street.
Staying Organized!
In my craft room this
seems to be my biggest issue. Here are
some of the things I do to stay
organized.
1. Go thru your
supplies every few months and get rid of
what you know you won't use. I have a
box I put this in to give away.
2. Put your
embellishments where you can see them.
One thing I have learned is that if I
can't see it I forget it I have it. I
bought glass canisters in several sizes
to store them in. Tiny things are all
kept in a labeled little cabinet right
above my paper.
3. I keep all of my
current designer paper on my desk in a
cubicle that stands the paper up. I have
a corner desk so it is right in front of
me when I work.
4. Use baskets or
bins for items like punches, misc.
crafting supplies. I keep a lot of non
SU items this way.
5. Use a old dresser
to organize craft supplies. I have items
that I alter or buy in bulk in a wicker
dresser I have. This is way better than
the bags I used to keep it all in on my
closet floor.
6. Use your walls! I
found going vertical gave me a lot more
space on my desk. Now my ribbons,
glitter and Versa Mark pads are within
easy reach.
7. Clean up between
projects. I know I do better when I am
not surrounded by clutter and I bet you
will also.

Coming Down the Track
The next 2 cards I
made a set of for my aunt's husband to
give his sister. The Chopped Liver
Railroad is a joke between them.

The set used here is Choo Choo from
the Mini Catalog. I used Kiwi Kiss,
Tangerine Tango and Red Riding Hood for
the train.

This stamp is from Happiness Is a
Journey, I love the image! I stamped
with White Craft on Black Cardstock.

Good Friend Card
I spent yesterday
afternoon teaching how to make cards
with a couple of new friends. This is
one of the cards we made using the Good
Friends and Petals Pizzaz stamp sets.
The flowers are raised up with
Dimensionals.

Mother's Day
I just got our
Mother's Day cards in the mail. I am so
thankful to have my mother. She has been
fighting cancer for almost 4 years now
and I just got back from spending a week
with her. This is the card I made for
her.

I used the Great
Friends stamp set and embossed using
Craft White Ink and Iridescent Ice
Embossing Powder.
I also made a card
for Kim to send her mom a Stampin' Up!
gift certificate with. Her mom's
favorite colors are purple and green so
I had to go thru my retired paper to
find what I needed for this card.

I again used Great
Friends. The white background here was
ran thru the Big Shot to give it some
texture. The green is Sage Shadow. The
butterflies are cut out and embossed
with Iridescent Ice.
I have the news on
while I am writing this and just
realized tornados struck a street over
from us including a school this morning.
We were woke up this morning at about 3
by the weather radio and then again 30
minutes later. My husband decided to
turn off the radio. Guess we shouldn't
do that anymore!

Parisian Breeze CD Album Folder
I finally
finished my
project of the month! I don't
know why I wait so long to do it.
Just me I guess. I took all of the
stuff to make it to moms and the
time slipped away from me. It is
done now and I hope you enjoy making
it.

Spring Showers Bring May Flowers
It is raining and
thundering here in the Huntsville area.
I am back from my week stay in Michigan
and had a wonderful time. I got to take
a class from the fabulous Jan Tink! How
exciting is that??? We made 4 cards
which I will share today with you.

This card uses Summer Soft stamp set
from the Mini Catalog and used some
Taste of Textiles paper

This card used Walk in the Park DSP
and the stamp set Great Friends

Pick a Petal was used for the main
image and the DSP is Pink Flamingo

We used the Manhattan Die and Sweet
Always DSP for this card.
I really enjoyed the
class and the cards were fantastic as
you can see.
I will be back later
today with the project of the month. I
haven't finished it yet.
Please check the monthly archives on
the right for more cards and projects.
