These are the Milk Carton Die and the bats are punched out with our new bat punch.

The caramel corn container has a Decor Elements on it. The Bingo Cards are available in the New Holiday Mini Catalog.

Again I have pictures of the Bake Shoppe area, it will take about a week to share them all. Today these are some of the items in the area for fall. The Owl Treat Bags below are just too cute, the bags were run thru the Big Shot and embossed before decorating with the cute owl using the new punch.

Do you recognize this from the catalog cover?

Convention - You Can Almost Taste It, Chipboard Houses

July 27, 2010

Here is a little sneak peak from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog. We are getting this wonderful chipboard house that you can adapt for the holidays. The ones I am showing you today is the Christmas one from the Bakery Shop.

These are our buttons dressed up as candy. In the picture above they are the stepping stones to the house.

I absolutely love this vintage version.

Don't you love the details in this house? Love, love the buttons!

While we are on Christmas I thought I would share with you the Christmas tree set up in Memento Mall. The ornaments were made using the Big Shot and some of our new fabric from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog.

There is still plenty of time to order from the Summer Mini Catalog

Convention - You Can Almost Taste It

July 27, 2010

This has to be my favorite area ever at convention. Back in the resource center SU had made us a Sweet Shoppe. Not really but when they said we could almost taste it, they meant just that.

Here is part of the Christmas display

Don't you love these button trees made from our buttons?

How about these Ice Cream Cones embossed with the Big Shot?

Chocolate Brownies SU style

Yummy Cupcakes

and last for today, how about our candies? These displays were truly awesome!

Back From Convention - Share What You Love!!

July 26, 2010

Convention is over and it was so much fun! Nothing can energize you for the new Stampin' Up! year like convention. One of the fun things we get to do is Memento Mall where we can buy all kinds of Stampin' Up logo merchandise, business tools and even our yearly Christmas ornament. This year as a member of the Recruit Crew I got a VIP pass into the mall a hour early! Here are just a few of the items that were available for purchase.

Shown here is one of the shirts available, some Stampin Up! collapsible trash bags, Stampin Up rulers

Pens and Key chains

Cute reusable bags

Tote bags that can hold our cutters and even 12 x 12 designer paper! There is a matching laptop case.

How cute is this new apron? There was even a matching new stamp

Talking about Recruit Crew there was even a breakfast with Shelli one morning if you recruited someone during a specific time period. We even got VIP seating in the General Session one morning. It was so much fun!!!

Here we are getting seated

Being welcomed by Shelli and the corporate team below

We had one other event that was really fun on Wednesday night, a back to the 60's party.

Shelli - CEO Stampin Up!

My upline, Joann

As you can see there is always something going on. I took almost 900 pictures and will be sharing them over the next few weeks.

Vintage Baby Card

July 16, 2010

I am invited to a shower next weekend so I decided instead of waiting until the day before to do the card, I would do it now. Here is another of our new baby stamps, Baby Bundle.

How cute is this set?

I ordered this set in our new clear mounts. If you haven't tried them yet they are awesome! It made putting the baby in the carriage so easy and no getting out the Stamp-a-ma-Jig. So do you wanna see my card I did? When I got ready to distress the DSP it was so funny. I had to sit and think about did I really want to crumble it up? But with vintage that is exactly what you do. I am sure as I work with this new trend I will not even hesitate again. All I could think was I was going to ruin the paper and waste it. In the end it all worked all so I am sure it will get easier. I used one of the inks, Tea Stain out of the new Distressing Kit we have in the catalog.

Stamps: Baby Bundle
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Shimmery White, Nursery Suite Specialty DSP
Ink: Tea Distressing Ink, Black Stazon, Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray, Blush Blossom
Accessories: Victoria Crochet Trim, Pink Button (retired)

How to Use Stampin' Up's! New Punches

July 13, 2010

Popular Stampin' Up! presenter, Bonnie Thurber, discusses the many benefits of Stampin' Up!'s new, sleeker punch body style.

Did you know on the Stampin' Up! site that there is a project area with wonderful projects and cards? Take Me There!

Baby Tees

July 13, 2010

I have always been disappointed with our choices for baby stamps but not with this catalog. Finally some really cute stamps that really work well for babies. I used the new wheel for this card, Baby Tees. The onsies are cut out and layered over the wheeled image. The first layer is done with our Perfect Polka Dots folder. The center images on the onsies are filled with Dazzling Diamonds.

Elements of Style

July 12, 2010

Here is another of the cards I made yesterday using Elements of Style.

The base is Very Vanilla, and it is embossed with our new Vintage Wallpaper Folder. The image was stamped in Black Stazon and colored with Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzaz. I then carefully cut out the flower image and layered it on top of the oval.

Here is a totally different look using the same set. I used Cherry Cobbler for my card base and layer. The bottom image is stamped with Elements of Style and ran thru the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Folder. I love the texture this folder gives. The top image is stamped with Cherry Cobbler and water colored with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive. I totally cased both of these cards and now can't find the person to give credit too for the designs. I really need to do better note taking!

Elements of Style is in the Summer Mini Catalog and is 27.95 in Wood, #118611 or in Clear 19.95, #120045. You can see the entire set here.
Square Lattice Folder # 119976 and it is 7.95
Vintage Wallpaper Folder # 120175 and it is also 7.95

Kimono Kids and Cherry Cobbler!!

July 12, 2010

I spent most of the weekend in my stamp room playing with the new stamps I just got. Kimono Kids was one of my have to have stamp sets, I just love it. I also opened some of our new colors and I love Cherry Cobbler, I can't wait to use it for Christmas projects and cards. It is an awesome color. I used it with the new Pear Pizzaz for contrast.

If you look carefully at the image you will see it was run thru the crimper. The lanterns were cut out and I used some retired black thread for the line. The image was water colored and embossed with clear embossing powder with black craft ink.

Another Recipe Card

July 10, 2010

I finally got my recipe card made for our bride, I just ran out of time when it was supposed to be done.

Swap Cards From the New Catalog!

July 9, 2010

I was in a demo swap using products from our new catalog last week. Here are three of the cards using the new Artistic Etchings set.

Made by Kathi Jenkins

Made by Thelma Collins

Made by Charity Wright - what may not show well is the background of this card is embossed with our new wallpaper folder.

This is card I made using a new level one hostess set
Because I Care

You can't see it in the picture but the flower is covered with Dazzling Diamonds, and accented with our white pen in the centers.

Here Comes the Bride

July 2, 2010

I had a bridal shower for my friends daughter last weekend and I made a few decorations and treats for it I would like to share with you.

This banner was made using the Big Shot Scallop Die and the Sans Serif Alphabet dies with Paper Doilies

Close up - you can see I cut the letters out twice using White to highlight the Only Orange letter.

These are umbrellas made using the biggest Scallop Die to make the umbrella.

Remember the flowers you used to make out of Kleenex for floats in school? These flowers were made the same way only using tissue paper. They were fun to do and made cute centerpieces.

Recipe Cards for the Bride!

July 2, 2010

One of the things we asked people to bring to the shower was a recipe card for the bride. Here are a few of them.

Who wouldn't love a cookbook made with pages like these?

Smooch Tips!

July 2, 2010

To help you get the best results with Smooch Spritz, please follow these suggestions:

  • Before each use, shake vigorously until the particles are fully mixed. The sprayer can become clogged if particles get sucked up into the tube.

  • Spray in the direction of the arrow on the nozzle top. For best results, spray six to ten inches from your project. For a heavier application of color, spray closer to the project.

  • The Smooch Spritz bottles are made of glass, place the bottles on a towel or cloth to prevent them from rolling and possibly breaking.

  • If the ink dries outside of the nozzle, remove the nozzle and submerge it in a household cleaner (such as Windex or 409) for 20 minutes. Rinse, replace the nozzle, shake well, and spray.
