How To Emboss Your Handmade Cards

August 17th, 2008

This is one of the first techniques I learned. I use it all of the time as you see if you read my ramblings.

These are the tools you need to emboss, stamp, VersaMark, Ink, Clear Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Powder Tray and a Heat Gun

The first thing you are going to do once you have selected your paper and stamp set is to take your Embossing Buddy and lightly rub it over the area you intend to emboss.

Then you are going to ink up your stamp with VersaMark. If you want the image to be colored than stamp in the ink. Stamp on the area you want the image on. Clean your stamp before using again.

Lightly sprinkle the embossing powder over the area, making sure it is covered well. Shake off any excess. (I used Clear Embossing Powder here)

Using your heat gun heat the image until it turns shiny. Be careful not to burn the paper.

Tah Dah! You are finished. Reward yourself with some chocolate!
