Happy Birthday Elizabeth!!!

Feb. 28, 2010

It's the big 15, only one more year and you'll be driving. Wow, where has the time gone, seems like only yesterday you were running around in those red glittery shoes.

I am going to share another card we did at card class.

This card uses the Garden From the Heart stamp set available in the mini catalog and Kaleidoscope DSP. The images were colored with markers and the hat has some paper piecing on it.

It's A Happy Bird-Day

Feb. 27, 2010

It was card class day at Joann's again yesterday. We made the cutest cards and had lots of laughs. This is one of the cards we made and I totally love it. The white paper is our glossy white paper and I really like using it this way. The bird and branch are punched with a new punch available in our new mini catalog.

Compliments to the Chef

Feb. 25, 2010

Compliments to the Chef meets Thoroughly Modern. Having a dinner party and need to send invitations? Well this cute stamp set will fit the bill perfectly. I used Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Vanilla and Thoroughly Modern DSP.

Compliments to the Chef $20.95 Wood Mounted

Going to the Dogs

Feb. 23, 2010

I have to take Chloe and Lola this week to get their hair cut so I decided to make their groomer a card to put a gift card into. I got busy at Christmas and forgot to take it then when they got their haircuts so now is better than never! The paper used is Tall Tales and the dog is made with various Stampin' Up! punches. The tag is made using Tiny Tags out of the Occasions Mini Catalog. I used the Quarter Rounder punch on all of the corners.

Good Neighbors

Feb. 22, 2010

I made a couple of things to show you today. I used the Free SAB paper you can choose as one your freebies with every $50.00 you spend right now on SU products. This is a great 6 x 6 pad of designer papers that match the Great Neighbors stamp set available now also for free.

The only thing stamped on the card is the little tag. I used the Polka Dot folder for the background on the card and the little house paper is from that DSP package I talked about above. I used our tag punches to do the tag. The Thank You greeting comes from Happy Moments. The little basket is cut out using the Big Shot Scallop square. The basket makes a cute go with for the card, it holds 7 kisses.

Grabbed That Old Favorite Again

Feb. 18, 2010

It actually is not old but I am sure you are beginning to wonder if I own any other stamps. I can assure you I do. I needed a fast birthday card and as I have said before this is my go to stamp set of the moment. It is so versatile and can be used for about any occasion. I also got out my Color Spritzer Tool which I used to just leave sitting in the drawer unused and not loved. At Leadership and Regionals we used it for several projects and I use it often now. Have you got tools like that you let sit on your desk or in a drawer and not use? If so get them out and use it just once and see if it doesn't become one of your favorite tools to use. Remember some technique you saw made you buy it in the first place so get it out! Use it!!!

The colors on this card are Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. I cut out a oval frame using the big shot and used it as a template for the sponging. The pearls are from the Pretties Kit. The word stamp is Whimsical Words and the flower stamps are Vintage Vogue.

I will be putting my March class schedule up over the weekend. Be sure to check back for dates if you want to attend.

Love Bug

Feb. 16, 2010

This stamp comes from a Level 1 Hostess set that you can get for free with $150.00 order and right now because it is SAB time you would also get 3 free SAB stamp sets! There has never been a better time to host a party than right now, so if you live in the Huntsville area and would like to host a party contact me and we can discuss the details.

I used the Square Scallop die and the Big Shot to make this card and our wonderful In Colors. I colored in the bug with our In Color Markers. You can make this card in about 15 minutes.

A Sneak Peak

Feb. 15, 2010

I hope you had a fantastic Valentine's Day weekend! We had a quiet weekend which included dinner with some friends and a walk in the mall. I am finding when it is too cold to go out the mall makes a great place to walk, plus the girls got to pick out their Valentine present. So back at the Phoenix Regionals we got a sneak peak at a new stamp set coming out in May in the new mini catalog. It is so cute! I got mine a few weeks ago and got it out today after seeing a really cute card made with it. I try not to usually CASE cards but as I was doing it I just loved the original, the problem is I can't remember who made it! :( It is called Sweet Scoops and of course it is Ice Cream!

I love, love the ice cream cones! They were done by stamping off once and then rolling half of the stamp back in the ink to re-ink it to create the shading. The polka dot background was done with an embossing folder for the Big Shot.

Have fun stamping and don't forget you can order Stampin' Up products 24 - 7 online from my online store.

Vintage Friend

Feb. 13, 2010

This set is my go to stamp set right now. It is always within arms length. The background and main image background are done with the Very Vintage wheel. I used Soft Suede, Kraft, Pretty In Pink and Shimmery White Paper. I used Soft Suede ink on both backgrounds and colored in a little on the Shimmery White background. The ribbon is Kraft.

Masculine Birthday Card

Feb. 12, 2010

I don't know why but I think it is hard to make a masculine birthday card. I used the present stamp in Happy Moments and some of our In Colors.

The paper used is Dusty Durango, Soft Suede and Neighborhood DSP. The image was done on Watercolor Paper and I used the Aqua Painter to color the image. I stamped the image with Black Stazon ink. The ribbon is Dusty Durango.

Happy Moments

Feb. 10, 2010

This card was made using Happy Moments one of our SAB choices. I love all of the images in this set. It is perfect for all-occasion cards of any type. Oh and did I mention it's free with any $50.00 order?

The heart paper is from the SAB catalog also, it is the Good Neighbors 6x6 pack of papers. There are so many cute designs in this pack.

I have some friends coming over to stamp tomorrow so I should have plenty of new projects to share with you over the next few days. I love it when we can get together to share ideas! I am going to be working on some class projects for some upcoming classes so be sure to check back if you are interested in coming to class.

Tote-Ally Tess

Feb. 9, 2010

Let Tess and her accessories help you celebrate your love of crafting! She's totally cool, totally crafty, totally Tess! I was so happy to see this stamp set in the new catalog with all of the tools. Stampin' Up! has had nothing like it since Stella Stamper.

The DSP is Tall Tales, love the bright colors. The purse and blouse were pieced using the Pawsitively Prints which goes with our Build a Bear dies. The background has been spritzed using our Spritzer Tool.

Wood # 117076 Price: $22.95

A Couple of Valentine's to Share

Feb. 8, 2010

I  can't remember if the first Valentine was shown to us at Leadership or Regionals. Either way I really liked it and decided to CASE it. I don't think I changed a thing. These cards both use the I {Heart} Hearts Stamp set.

After making this card I decided to make another one using Bella Blue DSP.

I (Heart) Hearts Price: $26.95

I (Heart) Hearts - Clear Mount Stamp Price: $18.95

Busy, Busy and More Busy!

Feb. 5, 2010

What a week this has been and I have not even had time to stamp until today! My dad and brother came for a couple of days this week and my DH went to Florida to help his mom for a few days. I really thought I was going to have a bunch of stamping days, LOL. I do have a couple of projects to share with you. I decided to make a couple of Valentines to share with you.

This card uses the I Heart Hearts Stamp Set #117010 (W) #118571 (C), Well Scripted Stamp Set #117072 (W) #118601 (C), Pinking Hearts Punch #117649, Large Heart Punch, 3 Heart Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder #117335

This card uses the Crimper #101618 to make the design on the background on the card. I used the Sizzlets Heart Embosslits die #117332 for the Hearts and the bow is our new Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon #117289

To do the background find the center of each side. Score from center to center and fold. You will have a triangle. Run thru the Crimper to get the design. I sprayed the Pretty in Pink Piece and the Hearts with a mixture of 70% Alcohol and Shimmer Paint.

I did this card last night at our downline meeting, it was one of our Make and Takes. I adore our Sweet Pea Stiched Felt #117266 with its matching Sweet Pea designer paper #117161.

We also made this last night using our new Milk Carton die for the Sizzix. The stamp set is Good Neighbors from the SAB catalog. You can get it for Free with any order of $50.00! You can order online 24 - 7 from my online business site.

Please check the monthly archives on the right for more cards and projects.
