Project of the Month - Baby Photo Book

February, 09

I have a friend who is having a baby soon and I wanted to make something for her so I ordered the Rock a Boy Simply Scrappin' Kit. My upline showed us this project from Founder's Circle using the True Friend stamp set on Saturday. I also used some Confetti and Chocolate Chip 12 x 12 paper. You could use the paper already in the kit if you wanted.

What is needed for this project:
1 piece 6 x 12 cardstock for cover scored at 5 7/8 and 6 1/8
1 piece 10 x 10 cardstock for center pages scored at 5 and 5
7 pieces 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 for page layers
2 pieces 4 x 4 for layers
1 Simply Scrappin' Kit for decorating
1 piece ribbon for cover
1 piece 3 x 6 for binding scored at 1 3/8 and 1 5/8
Glue Stick

Score your pieces after cutting them.

To do the cover attach the binder strip with Glue Stick to the cover.

Decorate cover as desired. Pictures below of my finished book. Tie ribbon on after you are finished.

Cut on 1 of the score lines half way across. Attach your white pieces to 7 of the squares. Fold the chocolate piece so the cut side is on the left middle side. The bottom right hand corner is where you attach the book to the cover. Use Glue Stick to do this. Center it on the back inside cover.

This is what your book should look like before you start to decorate it.

This is the front page open.

This is the inside open.

This is the inside decorated. Because the baby is not here yet, I did not adhere the frames down. Use pieces of wax paper or the backing from the kit to figure out your locations. After you have your photos adhere the pieces.

Here are some close ups of the pages.

The big blue piece is where you put the baby's weigh, inches, ect.

This is the front when you open the book.

This is just an example of how you can decorate your book. You should be able to get at least 4 books out of 1 kit if you add the cover or page paper. When I add the pictures I will be adding some embellishments. If I get the mothers permission I will post a couple of the pages when I get them finished.
